Scotty Forever...

My little Scotty

I wanted to say a few words about my life, short as it was, with a beautiful dog named Scotty. He was abused and had a hard life but was rescued and cared for by Pet Protectors. I really missed having a dog and decided I wanted to adopt a dog that really needed a good home. I found Scotty on the internet and fell in love with him as soon as I saw that beautiful face. I was very saddened by his story and really wanted to help him live out his life with love, kindness and happiness never ever again having to suffer in any way.

Scotty did have some trust issues and health problems but I never gave up on him.

And after a while he bonded with me and my husband, especially me. Unfortunately we didn’t have a long time with Scotty; he was older and had become sick. But I will never ever forget him or the love he gave us and how much he added to our lives. During this short time we had he was very happy with us and enjoyed his life with all the hugs and kisses and treats he would get every day. He loved being outside and going for walks. He enjoyed every minute with us, so although it was short there was a lot of love and joy squeezed into each and every day. I love and miss him very, very much and would give anything just to hold him again. It is very hard to lose a pet, but I know that we gave him a loving home and a chance to have a good life which he so much deserved, which all pets deserve. So I hope and pray that when someone may see a pet for adoption that may be older or have health issues that they will not just bypass them but that they will give them a chance for a good home because in the end you will have given a beautiful animal the life he should have had right from the start. It is so much worth the love you get in return.
